Jean-Honoré Fragonard, The Swing, 1766. Oil on canvas, 2’ 8 5/8” x 2’ 2”.

Fragonard’s Swing epitomizes  Rococo style. Pastel colors and soft light complement a scene in which a young lady flirtatiously kicks off her shoe at a statue of Cupid while her lover watches.

+take famous pictures, illustrations, photos and make a story out of them.

+take the picture of the Marie Antoinette girl loosing her shoe and make a story of it.

+the 5 ‘w’s and the 1 ‘h’

+could be interesting when you write in a style that emulates how the artist drew/painted.

+look at pictures by Picasso, Ryden, Van Gogh, and maybe the Scream lol

+the grass picture

-write a story from the pov of a grass/nature spirit or mother nature…or even a story about mother nature’s little minions.

-They take the form of nature, like a body of leaves, daisies, or whatever it may be.

-This is a leaf figure: faceless, just going to do MNs bidding.

-He happens upon a leaf that fell too early.

-Maybe exams the leaf, sees that the tree and all trees around it are in trouble or dying.

-Can be a comment on the tole society has on nature.

-Try to write without words or try to hide the fact that the story is following a leaf man
